A new song that has been playing recently is 'Don't Have Love' by Holly Starr. The lyrics in the song that have convicted me of my pride and reminded me of one of the greatest commandments.
The second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:31). This commandment coupled with a passage in 1 Corinthians, emphasizes even more how important it is to love those around you. Paul writes the following verses before going into more of an explanation of what love is: "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing." (1 Corinthians 13:1-3 ESV)
I have really been convicted recently to remember that in all that I do I should be showing those around me the love of Christ. I know this is one of the basic Christian beliefs or what people with good morals would strive for, but the way I heard it in 'Don't Have Love,' made me think about it differently.
Here's the youtube link, you should spend three minutes and listen to the song.

Well, I don't have lots of money. I don't have a car, let alone a fast one. And I live in an apartment not a mansion. Nevertheless, the basic idea of the song can still apply to me. I can live in Korea. I can be teaching Calculus. I can be coaching a winning (as of now) basketball team. I can be the best at this or I can be the best at that, but.... "It's never gonna be enough if you don't have love." Without love all those things I have or things that I can do are nothing.
The way to 'get more love' to share is to grow closer to God who has never-ending unconditional love for you and for me and for each person in this world. How awesome! If you feel lonely or burnt out, remember God's overflowing love for you. If you are trying to fight the good fight, like me, I encourage you to draw closer to the Father, in order to share more love with your neighbor.
